This program for Linux plays audio stream received form the IEEE 1394 (FireWire) bus on the local sound card. The stream must be available as isochronous data stream according to the Audio and Music Data Transmission Protocol (IEC 61883-6).
The first version of this program was developed by Christian Gemeiner as part of a university course under supervision of Manfred Weihs. It was extended by Hermann Rofner, Domenico Rubini and Manfred Weihs who maintains this utility. Development was carried out from 2002 to 2006 at the Institute of Computer Technology at Vienna University of Technology. Since 2007 the project is hosted at sourceforge.net.
January 12th, 2007: The project has been moved to sourceforge.net. Release 0.2.1 was created along with this move.
